Vopak’s Sebarok terminal in Singapore is set to begin offering ship-to-ship bunkering services. The new service allows vessels to bunker while also loading or unloading cargo at the terminal.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s (MPA) has stated its desire to improve efficiency at the port and the new service will assist Vopak’s terminal in meeting that goal.
Vopak Terminals Singapore’s Managing Director, Tan Soo Koong said in a statement: “This new concurrent bunkering service is a continuation of Vopak’s strategy to help unlock logistical value for our customers, enabling seamless, safe and efficient logistics processes in the entire supply chain.”
BW Pacific, Sinanju Marine Services, and Unicore Fuel are working together with Vopak to deliver the service. The company also plans to expand the service to its other local terminals.
