Paul Denmead, Director of Terminal Operations UK for World Fuel Services, has been named as the new President of the Tank Storage Association (TSA). Paul takes over the role from Andrew Amos who has stepped down as President.

Andrew will take Paul’s previous role of Vice President for a period of 12 months to help with the implementation of TSA’s forward plans.

Andrew commented: “As I have now retired from my position as Projects Director for UM Storage, it is appropriate that I also hand over presidency of the TSA to Paul Denmead. The past 18 months leading the TSA has been a privilege and I have seen a dramatic change in the direction and growth of our association.

“Our status and visibility with Government and related agencies has grown significantly which is critically important to serving the needs of our expanding membership. I am confident that Paul Denmead and Peter Davidson will continue to drive forward change, ensuring that we continue to be the focus of knowledge and experience for bulk liquid storage and terminal operations.

“I will remain as Vice-President of the TSA so that I can offer any support and guidance required”.

The TSA represents the interests of 42 member companies engaged in the storage of bulk liquids and the provision of products and services to the sector. Collectively members operate over 280 terminals and distribution hubs in the UK and have over 8 million cubic metres of storage capacity in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

It’s members provide and support an essential interface between sea, road, rail and pipeline logistics for many different substances including transport and heating fuels, chemicals, animal feed and foodstuffs.
