It has been reported that three crude oil tanks have caught fire at the Kemaman Bitumen Company (KBC) facility at the Teluk Kalong industrial area, Malaysia.

The fire was first spotted at 6:15pm at one of the 300,000-litre capacity tanks before spreading to a second tank. Reports indicate that by 9:30pm a third tank caught fire.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown. 

It has been reported that firemen have now managed to extinguish the blaze at the first and second giant tanks by spraying 15,000 litres of coolant foams.
