Tank Terminal Engineering, Consulting and Supplies company TECS has been awarded a contract to supply and install special TC3 primary shoe plate seals for the MOT (Maasvlakte Olie Terminal) located in Europoort, Rotterdam.
With 39 120,000 cbm crude oil tanks MOT is probably the largest crude oil tank farm in the world operating 39 crude oil tanks with a diameter of 84 metres. It is a joint venture between Aramco, BP, Esso, Shell, Vopak and Zeeland Refineries.
The contract is for the supply and installation of special TC3 primary shoe plate seals with wax scraper and independent rim mounted TC2ilp low profile secondary seals under a blanket agreement.
“The seals will meet all engineering, safety and emission standards and will be gastight, guaranteeing the lowest possible emissions,” said TECS. “We are proud to have qualified as vendor on this important maintenance activity and do look forward to work with the MOT-Verwater partnership maintaining these tanks.”
