Christopher Dods has been named Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of Strategic Materials, North America’s largest glass recycler. He succeeds Denis Suggs, who is leaving the company. 

Strategic, which is also portfolio company of Littlejohn & Co. said in a statement “Mr. Dods has significant executive leadership experience in the environmental and industrial services industries, with a proven ability to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the sector.”

Dods has previously held positions including CEO of Clean Earth, a former Littlejohn & Co. portfolio company and one of the largest specialty waste companies in the US.

He also served as President, Environmental Services Division at Philips Services Corporation and was a Senior Vice President at Aramark Corporation. Mr. Dods graduated from the United States Naval Academy.
