Engineering, architecture, planning and construction services company, Pond, has announced Mike Choi as the new Director of Business Development for its Energy programme. 

Choi will be responsible for identifying new market segments and clients within the commercial energy market. He will leverage his industry insight to recognise potential growth opportunities and strategically develop plans to guide Pond toward success. Choi’s robust skillset brings over 20 years of management and product operations experience to Pond’s workforce. With a specialisation in midstream oil and gas, his thorough knowledge of pipeline, corrosion, coatings and integrity markets make him a unique asset. His demonstrated experience of developing strong relationships with utility, oil and gas clients proves his ability to sustain growth and forge new opportunities.

Choi is active in numerous industry organisations. He is a NACE international member, a General Committee member of Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course (AUCSC) and a member of the Baltimore-Washington Corrosion Coordinating Committee. Choi also lends his expertise by serving as a course instructor; he is currently an instructor for the NACE Liberty Bell Corrosion course and for AUCSC. He is an alumnus of Old Dominion University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
