07.03.16. A strong focus on Oman will be a feature of the Tank World Expo 2016 conference.
Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 12-13 April, speakers included Andres Suarez, general manager at Orpic Logistics, Oman, who will present an overview of the Muscat-Sohar Pipeline Project (MSPP), and discuss Oman’s potential to become a logistics hub.
Maintaining this focus will be Said Al Mawaali, project director at OTTCO, who will be presenting the latest developments at the largest storage facility in the Sultanate, while Roderick de Rooij, commercial manager at Oiltanking Odfjell Terminals Oman, will discuss the future outlook for the storage market in the region. He will outline how to capitalise on trade routes between Asia and Europe, while analysing the region’s demand for storage capacity.
This year’s opening address is from His Excellency Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for UAE Ministry of Energy.
Abdullah Zeren, market risk manager at Aves Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS, will provide a regional focus on Turkey, looking at recent developments in the Turkish storage sector. He will provide a brief overview of the local market and the local sanctions and restrictions. He will also explore the demand for storage and trade routes, touching on the growth plans at Aves storage terminal, before analysing the growth of the region’s biodiesel sector.
