The new pit at Noord Natie Odfjell Antwerp Terminal (NNOAT) is part of its ambitious ongoing expansion programme at the 4th harbour dock.
The completion of the tank means the terminal now has a 12,700 cbm capacity in operation. It said: “The customers welcome these stainless tanks of 3 x 2,500 cbm and 4 x 1,300 cbm at the time of increased demand for storage capacity.”
NNOAT has a capacity of 390,000 cbm consisting of 236 tanks, divided over 16 interconnected tank pits, for a wide range of chemical and base oil products.
The extensive mooring capacity of 2,500 metres at the terminal allows the simultaneous handling of several vessels and barges.
The terminal said: “A special thanks to all the contractors and employees who made this project happen during these difficult COVID-19 times!”
