NextDecade names senior VP of Finance Brent Wahl as its new CFO, effective February 1, 2021. He replaces Benjamin Atkins, who will resign as CFO for personal reasons.
Wahl has served as NextDecade’s Senior VP of Finance since June 2019 after spending 20 years in the energy industry at Macquarie, J.P. Morgan and Bank of America.
Atkins joined NextDecade as CFO in 2015 after spending 10 years as a senior VP at GE Capital after serving at McKinsey and State Street.
Last week, NextDecade said its proposed Rio Grande LNG export terminal in Texas will not move forward, after an MOU for the floating storage and regasification unit lapsed on December 31, 2020.
