05.04.16. Transneft Volga Region, JSC has started construction of nine new tanks at the Krotovka line operation dispatcher station (LODS), in Russia.
The capacity of the new tanks will be more than 150,000 cbm and the investment forms part of a technical upgrade and revamp for Transneft Volga Region.
The Krotovka LODS serves the Buguruslan Regional Oil Pipeline Department and Samara oil pump station of Samara Regional Oil Pipeline Department.
Work on upgrading three existing tanks with capacity of 15,000 cbm has also started at Krotovka and the Pokhvistnevo LODS. The work includes assembling of technical pipelines, replacement of roof members and valves. Hydraulic testing will be conducted in July 2016.
Earlier this year, Transneft, JSC announced that 2016 is to be the ‘year of quality in construction’.
