Bulk liquids transport company Andrews Logistics has bought a new terminal in Neville Island, Pennsylvania, providing easy access to the Western Pennsylvania highway network.

The facility covers 7.5 acres (3 ha) and will replace the company’s current terminal in Aliquippa, which is also in Pennsylvania.

Senior Project Manager Madison Eschle said upgrading the terminal’s location and facilities is a strategic move to expand the company’s presence in the Northeast, beyond the Pittsburgh market where it currently operates.

Andrews Logistics CEO J. Darron Eschle, said the company will demolish six of the older buildings on the site and a 70-year old animal-rendering plant, as well as renovating three other buildings to create maintenance, office and driver facilities. The company will also remodel the existing main office building to provide “a more productive environment” for staff.

Darron Eschle said: “The new facility is in a much better location for us and our drivers alike because it’s within minutes of some of our largest customers’ shipping points, and offers more convenient highway access for our drivers.”
