Scottish Engineering, the voice of engineering and manufacturing in Scotland, said it gave Merkland Tank this award in recognition of its commitment to health and safety in the workplace.

Scottish Engineering member companies are assessed in relation to reportable health and safety incidents. The Safety Award is given to companies who have a lower incidence rate than the industry average as specified by the Health and Safety Executive. Merkland Tank again reported an incidence figure of zero, with no reportable injuries or diseases for 2020.
