Madesta, a specialist in steel plate prefabrication for the tank storage industry, has been awarded the contract for the supply of prefabricated steel plates for five of 11 new tanks in the Port of Frederikshavn.
In April, Bladt Industries and Port of Frederikshavn signed a three-digit million DKK contract for the construction of the new oil terminal, which will be built on the new part of the port in Frederikshavn. The terminal will be rented and operated by Stena Oil. Madesta will supply the prefabricated steel plates for the construction of five 15,000 cbm tanks. The tanks are scheduled to be operational by late 2020.
The oil terminal will consist of 11 storage tanks and with a total capacity of 74,400 cbm for maritime products and wastewater, the plant will be Scandinavia’s largest.
