Export of Russia’s crude oil through Kozmino terminal, terminus of the ESPO (Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean) oil pipeline, grew 10.3 percent in January-June 2014.

 
Some 117 oil shipments (100,000 tonnes each) totalled 11.7 million tonnes, 10.3 percent up on the corresponding period of 2013.

 

In the reporting period the main importers were Japan (4.4 million tonnes) and China (2.4 million tonnes). South Korea took 1.7 million tonnes, while Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia took under 1 million tonnes each.
Since the beginning of 2014, 11.1 million tonnes have been supplied through the ESPO-2 pipeline and 0.6 million tonnes by the Far Eastern Railway.

 

In the second half of the year, Kozmino plans to export 11.6 million tonnes of ESPO oil and the annual rate is expected to exceed 23 million tonnes.

 

After completion of the ESPO terminal Phase 3 expansion, Kozmino’s capacity has reached 30 million tonnes a year.
