Koole expands

24.03.16. Koole Tankstorage is expanding capacity at its Rotterdam-Pernis terminal.
Recently, Koole bought a neighbouring biodiesel plant from Biopetrol/Glencore. However, Koole does not intend to operate the factory in its previous role. Instead, the tanks on the site will be made ready for rental to third parties.
A chemical manufacturer is also looking at the economic feasibility of converting the site to a chemical plant where alcohols can be etoxylated.
Biopetrol mothballed the site in 2012 due to weak market conditions and concentrated production at the Rotterdam-Botlek and Rostock (Germany) facilities.
