A team of Implico Group experts will present the new SAP S/4HANA solutions for petroleum dealers and service station operators at the Best Practices for Oil & Gas conference from September 17–19.

The conference focuses on digital transformation which has become an integral part of the oil and gas industry. The question is no longer whether but rather how oil and gas companies want to undertake the digital transformation.

At Best Practices for Oil & Gas the participants will discuss new ideas and share their success stories. The event is being organised by SAP and ASUG (Americas’ SAP Users’ Group).

Implico, the software and consulting company based in Hamburg, is contributing two new solutions to the digital future: SAP S/4HANA SDM and SAP S/4HANA RFNO. SAP SDM manages, optimises and automates the entire order-to-cash process in downstream companies. The SAP RFNO solution enables service station operators to monitor, manage and automate all cash and volume flows in their networks. Both SAP S/4HANA SDM and SAP S/4HANA RFNO can be installed on-premise or used in the cloud according to the customer’s needs.

Although the solutions have barely been on the market for a year, Implico can already report its first success stories. “We’ve already implemented the solutions for a company in the US – the customer was impressed by the results,” explained Thomas Weggelaar, CEO of Implico in the USA. “The power of the new S/4HANA technology is impressive, particularly for service station management where millions of records have to be processed and aggregated.”

What makes SAP S/4HANA so special is its in-memory technology. All of the data that needs to be routinely accessed by the solutions is directly available in the RAM, facilitating lightning-fast analysis of large volumes of data and enabling innovative new process workflows. The most important advantages are a significant cost reduction, greater customer satisfaction and the automation of downstream processes.
