26.01.16. Gulf Petrochem Group has announced details of its expansion at its Fujairah terminal ahead of an EPC tender expected to go out to market early next week with the project set to start in April 2016.
Gulf’s terminal currently has a storage capacity of 412,000 cbm with 17 tanks ranging from 13,000 cbm to 40,000 cbm, handling Class III petroleum products such as fuel oil and gas oil.
Following the expansion, earmarked for completion in March 2017, the group will increase its storage capabilities by 243,280 cbm bringing total capacity at the terminal to 655,280 cbm across tanks with capacities of 9,000-37,699 cbm. The additional capacity to be added will enable the group to store Class I products.
On completion, the group will be able to offer customers inter-tank transfer, blending and mixing as well as connection to port infrastructure to allow for inter-terminal transfers. The terminal will house two new jetty lines, both of which will be connected to the matrix manifold of Port of Fujairah and cater to black and white oil.
