Flowline’s radar sensors have corrosion resistant, PTFE antenna shields that are unaffected by extreme vapour. As a result, they provide continuous level data to the SCADA system, which monitors the tanks, and alarms for replenishment.

Offered in general purpose and intrinsically safe versions for liquid or solids, the sensor provides reliable radar level measurement in difficult tank, sump or reservoir applications with foam, vapour, temperature or pressure applications.

The radar level measurement emits a high frequency RF pulse from its antenna. Then the pulse travels through the air gap, reflects against the liquid or solids surface and returns to the antenna. The radar level measurement then determines the pulse time of flight and converts this into level height or distance.

Flowline’s general purpose 26 GHz. pulse radar level transmitter provides continuous level measurement up to 65.6’ (20m) with a 4-20 mA signal output – and is configured via its integral push button display module.

The non-contact liquid level sensor is intended for chemical storage or process applications in above or below grade tanks of any material. It’s ideally suited to challenging process conditions with corrosive media, light surface foam or agitation, higher temperature or pressure, condensation or vapour, and installation in a flange fitting. Typical applications include bulk storage and process tanks.
