Flint Hills Resources is to expand its Ingleside crude oil export facility with the addition of four new crude oil storage tanks and 60,000 barrels per hour of loading capability.

The terminal will have a loading capacity of 380,000 barrels a day and storage capacity of about 4 million barrels when the work is completed by October 2019. The cost of the project was undisclosed.

The current terminal use two docks that can accommodate Suezmax-sized crude oil tankers. The company is also evaluating a separate project that would allow for VLCCs, which have a capacity of 2 million barrels, to be loaded.
