Virtual short course on tank corrosion offers new insights for storage tank inspection and maintenance
The latest educational offering from NACE International’s Corrosion Technical Series is an upcoming short course on the prevention of internal and external tank corrosion. This two-day virtual seminar shines a light on the diverse information available when determining corrosion rates while inspecting storage tanks. A panel of industry experts go beyond probes and vapour corrosion inhibitors (VCI) to share their approaches, insights, and tips on how to evaluate corrosion rates to better plan inspection and maintenance.
Geared towards engineering managers, operators, inspectors, consultants, asset owners, and service companies, this seminar will identify corrosion management methodologies to equip you with the knowledge to better identify corrosion rates in your field and how to interpret the signs of wear and tear in your tank.
This short course is offered in an interactive, virtual format, with knowledge checks and Q&A sessions to ensure students gain a thorough understanding of the course material. At the end, participants can earn a certificate of completion and __ professional development hours (PDHs) to demonstrate their understanding of the materials covered in the course.
Featured lecturers include Louis Koszewski, Founder and President at US Tank Protectors; Philip Myers, Principle at PEMY Consulting; Jim Ellor, ELZLY Technology Corporation; and David Cushman, West Virginia Paint, LLC.
