Two additional 50,000 cbm storage tanks are to be built at the oil depot of Transneft Kozmino Port, LLC in 2017. The new capacity will allow for increased volumes of Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil exports into Asia-Pacific.

Currently, the tank farm at Kozmino has 10 tanks, each with capacity of 50,000 cbm. Two additional tanks (No 11 and No 12) will increase the total capacity of the farm from 500,000 to 600,000 cbm.

As with the existing tanks, the new units will have floating roofs that minimise environmental impact through lower volumes of evaporated oil.

Kozmino is the Far-East terminal of Rusian oil major Transneft and is located at the endpoint of the ESPO pipeline in the town of Nakhodka, Primorye Territory. In March, the Kozmino marked the shipping of 100 million tons since the commissioning of the pipeline system in December 2009.
