New Zealand Oil Services Limited (NZOSL) is completing the expansion and refurbishment of an existing BP tank at its Nelson terminals. Once operational it will provide an additional two million litres of diesel storage.

The refurbishment was fuelled by an increased demand for diesel.

As well as the tank refurbishment, BP New Zealand are building an additional truck loading facility at the Hay St end of the terminal, which BP New Zealand spokeswoman Anna Radich told local media was “to enhance supply capabilities with the growing fuel demand in the top of the South Island.”

The Nelson terminal, part of a cluster of tanks that service the major oil companies and located on reclaimed land beside Haven Rd, is owned by BP New Zealand.

NZOSL manages all BP terminals throughout New Zealand.
