Blastco, a TF Warren company, recently completed the rehabilitation of a 10 million-gallon welded steel ground storage tank in Austin, Texas. The scope of work included the complete replacement of the interior and exterior coatings, structural repairs, and other electrical upgrades.

Safety improvements included the modification of platforms and ladders on the tank and in the pipe vaults, replacement of the roof hatch and safety climb system, installation of safety davit arm bases, and installation of a guard rail around the roof hatch.

Blastco utilises the latest technology, including paperless documentation software, which it says ensures quality control on every project. It says field communication and reporting is improved using TruQC; every project follows a designed workflow, with a systematic approach to documentation regulation and reporting, cascading from top to bottom.

It said: “Integrating the TruQC App has streamlined project management, communication and increased efficiency.”
