Applus+ awarded NDT contract for major client’s development efforts in Canada

Applus+ will be performing Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) weld inspections on the construction of a new LNG liquefaction plant “for a major client” in Kitimat, Canada, which includes the fabrication of a new full-containment storage tank. 

Applus+ said partnership on this project is scheduled to continue through the autumn of 2022 and further solidifies Applus+’ presence within Canada’s LNG industry.

Already a global leader in LNG tank inspection, Applus+ said its “use of state-of-the-art advanced technologies, including Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), ensures accurate and efficient tank weld inspections”.
