The Government of Cyprus has decided to proceed with the development of a facility for the import, storage and regasification of LNG at Vasilikos Bay near Limassol.

The GoC requires the completion of the new LNG Import Terminal by November 30, 2020. The subject of this tender involves the design, construction and operation of the project, commissioned by Cyprus’ Natural Gas Infrastructure Company. 

The contract includes: procurement of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) with 125,000 cbm of storage capacity, to unload LNG from LNG carriers ranging in size from 120,000 cb, to 217,000 cb, (Q-Flex); and construction of offshore infrastructure for the permanent berthing of the FSRU.

Deadline for receipt of tenders is January 18, 2019.
