Sinopec’s newly built Tianjin LNG terminal has started commercial operations. The terminal has capacity to receive 3 million mt per year. it comprises an LNG receiving terminal, pipelines, docs and associated facilities.

The Tianjin LNG terminal, which is connected to Sinopec’s Shandong natural gas pipeline, the Ordos-Anping-Cangzhou natural gas pipeline as well as the company’s natural gas storage facilities in northern China, supplies natural gas to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Shandong regions through its pipeline networks, Sinopec said. 

Construction work at the LNG terminal was completed on March 28, 2017. 

China’s Sinopec received the first commercial cargo at its Tianjin liquefied natural gas (LNG) delivered onboard the CESI Qingdao LNG carrier earlier this year.
