Pirobloc heating for Tüpras Batman refinery

08.06.16. Pirobloc has completed the supply of a Hot Oil Package for the Tüpras refinery in Batman, Turkey.
The project includes 2 thermal oil heaters, each of 2,800kW, with all accessory equipment. Both units have been built under ASME code U stamp. The boilers are used to heat bitumen storage tanks in order to keep temperature at around 50degC.
The refinery is currently transforming 4.2 million tons of black products into about 3.5 million tons of high-value, environmentally-friendly white products, including diesel, gasoline and LPG.
The Batman refinery is located at the centre of a consumption hub that accounts for around 33 percent of Turkish petroleum products consumption and is currently selling more than 450 tons a year.
